The DCHS Red Devils Track and Field teams competed at the Wibaux Invitational on Saturday. The girls team took 3rd place, while the boys team won the meet. Go Devils!

Extra Extra...Read all about it! The DCHS Key Club and National Honors Society have partnered up to put on the first Out of the Darkness Day of Action Carnival in Llyod Square Park on April 22nd. There will be games for all ages. Join us for fun in the sun in the outdoors on Earth Day while promoting positive mental health in our community.

Registration for the next Drivers Education Class is open until noon on Friday, April 30th. Registration is via an online form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe_FM2YOgYmNvf1CzKhdQMxxmiJgLoHh3xZVmBZYNn_gp_baA/viewform Class enrollment is limited, so payment of $265.00, payable to DCHS, must be received at the DCHS office by April 30th to reserve your student’s age-based priority registration. To be eligible for this class a student must reach their 15th birthday on or before November 30, 2021. Plans for a fall class are undecided at this time. Class begins with a 6:00 pm parent meeting on Monday, May 10th, in the DCHS Cafeteria. Morning classes begin the next day and will be held Monday through Wednesday 6:15-7:45 am until school ends and will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to noon from June 1st to the end of the class on June 30th. In addition, all students will complete as part of the class, 6 two-hour drives scheduled Monday through Saturdays. Prom Attendees! The 2021 DCHS prom is on April 17th. The last day for tuxes (Squad Sports) and out of town guest forms (in office) is tomorrow, April 1st. The last day for flowers (The Flower Basket) is April 9th and the last day for garters (Enchanted Room) is April 14th. Grand March starts at 8 pm and pictures will go from 6-7:45. Tickets for students will be sold during lunch on April 7th, 8th, 9th and 12th. Tickets for two are $40 and individual tickets are $25. Five hours of volunteer work for prom is FREE tickets. There is a decoration (April 12th-16th) sign up in Ms. Broaddus’ room if you are interested in helping out. Admission for Grand March is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

The DCHS Key Club invites you to follow them in participating in the Montana Out of the Darkness Campus Walk. We just started our #keepgoing social media campaign. To participate, you take a picture doing what you do to keep going, like reading, watching movies, or hiking, for example. DCHS Key Club will host a Vitalant School Blood Drive. The Blood Drive is open to school staff and students. If you are 16 or older, and wish to donate blood, see the sign-up sheet in the office for an available time slot. The permission forms, which are very important for those interested under the age of 18, are in a stack next to the sign-up sheet. Here are some pre- blood donation instructions: * Drink plenty of water the day BEFORE donating blood. * On the day of donation, eat a healthy low fat- meal BEFORE donating, and drink 8-16 oz of water within 30 minutes BEFORE the donation. *Being well-hydrated helps prevent dizziness and fainting. Water or sports drinks are a great choice! Congrats to the wrestlers that made it to state: Austin Berry, Sheldon Rod, Hayden Azure, Cody Harrington, Espyn Hostetler, Tommy Reske, and Aidan Franklin. The Lady Devils girls basketball defeated the Laurel Locomotives 45-41 to advance to play Billings Central on Friday at noon. The Red Devils boys basketball defeated the Hardin Bulldogs 52-48, and will play Laurel on Friday at 2 pm in second round action of the Divisional Tournament. Go Devils!

The Eastern "A" Divisional Basketball Tournament tips off this afternoon. The Lady Devils will take on the Laurel Locomotives at 3:30 PM, while the Red Devils will play the Hardin Bulldogs at 8 PM.
