DCHS Announcements Monday May 13: Lunch for Today: Chicken stix with potato, fruit, veggie & milk or SALAD BAR Lunch for Tomorrow: Chalupa with rice, fruit, veggie & milk or SALAD BAR Bus info for Monday 5/13 Bus 5 will not run PM. Volleyball Meeting Monday the 20th in the library at lunchtime for all interested in playing next fall. Football Meeting Tuesday the 21st in Mrs. Selvig’s room at lunchtime for all interested in playing next fall. Senior Banquet: Tonight is the senior banquet, and scholarships/honors recognition night starts at 5:30 in the cafeteria. If you plan on attending the senior banquet, please bring a dish for the potluck. The class is supplying hot dogs, buns, plates, and silverware. Last names A-M bring a side of some sort, Last names N-T bring a dessert Last names S-Z bring drinks Please pick up your senior week schedule and banquet ticket from your English teacher today. You may bring your parents to the banquet, and then the recognition night, in the auditorium, will be open to the community starting at 7 pm. The money raised from this fundraiser goes to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). There are jars outside the office and there are posters around the school for more information. The top 3 teachers with the most money in their jars get pied at the Out of Darkness Walk. The walk takes place on June 1st, and registration starts at 10 am. If you want to register for the walk, please go to www.afsp.org/dawsonco. Please help us to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention resources and programming. Thank you to everyone at WBI who took time out of your schedules to visit with us and show us just a part of what WBI does to supply natural gas. The class was able to see how working as a team can have so many benefits from the start to finish of a major project. They were introduced to each department and the role that each department plays in having a successful outcome. They hosted us for two days and the wealth of knowledge shared from each department is greatly appreciated and allowed the students to see the career opportunities in the field.

Thank you to Mid Rivers for hosting our class today. We appreciate you taking the time to explain all the different departments in Mid Rivers and the career opportunities within Mid Rivers. The class learned about the coverage area, the duties of each employee, the importance of keeping every aspect of communication up and running, and the updates that Mid Rivers will be experiencing in the future. Thank you for presenting to us and taking time away from your duties; it is appreciated.
